Delivery planning

Think beyond the production date.

Plan delivery around the complete order: approved products, protective packaging, the destination and the date you need the goods in hand.

Start with the destination.

Provide the country and postal code, and tell us whether the goods are going to a business, a warehouse or another delivery location. Include your preferred freight arrangement and any destination requirements in the brief.

Separate the stages.

Artwork review, sample making, sample transit, your approval, production and bulk freight all take time. Ask for a schedule that identifies the assumptions behind each stage. A launch date should account for receiving and checking the shipment too.

Understand the delivery basis.

The written quote should state which freight and import charges are included and who is responsible for each step. Product prices alone do not establish the total landed cost. Final transport options depend on the route, quantity and packed size.

Prepare to receive the order.

Confirm delivery details and the agreed inspection process before dispatch. On arrival, keep photographs of the packaging and check the contents against the order. Report any discrepancy with the relevant product codes, quantities and images under the agreed order terms.
